Default Mark & Chappell Nutri-Care Treat Ums

Hello all

Does anyone know if these treats contain sugar? it doesnt state on the pack itself but I have heard some people claim they do contain sugar. I have (I believe) a winter white dwarf handful of joy but i suspect its a hybrid as she came from a pet shop. I know they are susceptible to diabetes and i only give her half a "pillow" after i have handled her (the pack states one treat per day for a hamster which i assume they probably mean a syrian hence why i cut it in half and she only gets half of one a day).

if anyone could let me know I would be grateful, and if they do contain sugar then I will stop feeding her these and just stick to a mealworm or a few sunflower seeds instead (she loves these, but she also likes these trate ums too).

ok thanks. I guess it would be best to just stop giving her these then and stick with mealworms and sunflower seeds. I'll check out other threads for some other ideas.

EDIT: If they really do contain sugar then im pretty disgusted that it isnt labelled on the packet themselves. I may just have to email the company

I would have thought they would have listed the ingredients on the packets I'm very surprised they don't. I have a chinese hamster and i avoid giving her anything sugary i just give her things like mealworms, broccoli, cucumber, cauliflower, Puffed rice, linseed, millet, lentils, dog biscuits, kale

This site also states that they contain sugar M&C - Healthy Bites Nutri Care and this one nice-goods.de: M&C Nutri Care Healthy Bites with Omega 3 Treats for Small Animals 30g (Pack of 6) quite a few sites mention sugar in the ingredients may be worth emailing them to find out

I just got an email reply from the company. this is all they said:

"I would like to confirm that none of our products contain added sugar."

so I guess they may still contain some sugar, its just that they dont add to it
