Re: I did it guys...
I also use the feeding tweezers when feeding them to hams, mainly because of how enthusiastic my hams are! I use mini mealies and pop them in the fridge for a bit before feeding them to slow them down so they are less likely to nip the hams. Crickets on the other hand are terrible escape artists!

Re: I did it guys...
OMG! Hamster can eat those??? :O
Oooo... I should get some for Ms. Furbottom.
I have four turtles so them eating about 4 dollars worth of fishes alive doesn't really bother me. I think I can handle Ms. Furbottom eatting some alive mealworms. x3

I might get some for our hammies. If they are the really big mealworms then you have to watch out for the odd nip of the finger, they have fearsome jaws on them! When I have fed big wrigglies like this to lizards etc, I've used the long tweezer-type tongs you can get to hold them for the lizards to take so it is possible not to have to handle them too much if they really give you the wiggins
I'm sure your hammies really appreciate it The Hamster's Family even if it does make your tummy feel a bit funny

Yes, the hammies REALLY appreciated them ! Enough that I will have to buy them more, unfortunatly ! BUT CRICKETS !?!?!? NOOOOO WAY !!!! I have trouble considering myself running around th house to find an escaped one !!! And the "nom nom nom MUNCH MUNCH MUNCH CRUNCH" noise.... I just can't !!!!

Re: I did it guys...
I got some live mealworms when I got my new rescue dwarf Princess from P@H about a month ago and there's so many left, I've had to start feeding them! ow they're MASSIVE. I couldn't just let them die, even though I'm feeding them to the hamsters! Is that weird? I don't mind picking them up, but my five year old just picks them up by the handful! She's mega brave.

Haha yes, she told me today she'd like an owl. We were watching Harry Potter though, so I can understand. Not sure how she'll feel when she finds out they don't really bring the post...
