Oat sprays a big hit!!

I read somewhere that hamsters like sprays of oats, wheat and millet, so while I was at Petsmart (to bring my robo, Kousagi, to the vet), I decided to get some oat sprays that were in the bird isle. In case you didn't know, a lot of items in the bird isle can be given to hams.

Anyways, I put a few sprays of oat in Holly's tank and she went right to work "harvesting" the oat seeds from their husks on the oat straw. It made me feel as though she were almost foraging in the wilds of Syria. I bet she loved "foraging" for her treats too. Its a nice form of enrichment for her.

I didn't know Petsmart has oat sprays. I'll have to buy a bag to try next time I go, thanks for the heads up! I got my hams wheat sprays (forgot from where, might be DrF&S) and they just ignore them, so it's just decoration in their tank for now, I hope they will like the oats better.
