Re: Does anyone here feed..
Are your Dwarfs pure, did they come from a pet shop?
Need that answer to tell you if you can buy the Syrian mix for the dwarfs.

What species of dwarfies?
It might end up you needing to work on your fear/hate so your hams can get a decent diet though

Re: Does anyone here feed..
One is a Chinese, the other is a pet store Russian ( I know, but it's a russian to me). I am also hoping to get a Robo before too long.
No way, I'm not good with creepy crawly things, I am not feeding something that has bugs in it. I'll use P@H mix or HH if necessary.

Re: Does anyone here feed..
I reckon them getting a proper diet is more important than your fear
Not sure how good HH is for diabetes prone hams... Actually no idea if there are any sugar free ham foods on the market... Silver will know
Hope you find a good food soon hon

Re: Does anyone here feed..
You will need to feed my Dwarf Hamster Basic then.
There are much less mealworms in the new mix than there was before. You do not need to touch the mealworms either.
What you could do is pour the mix into a air tight container & scoop a spoon full of mix out to feed the hams.

Figured i would add that silvers mix is really good! Also buy in bulk is what i done, bought the largest bags available... they are keeping me going a while xD Thats with 3 on the dwarf mix and 1 on a syrian mix. May cost lots to start with but will last months!!!

This. The postage is excessive, but actually because the mix is cheap, lasts ages and all gets eaten, it works out as worth it. Plus, if you buy in bulk from ratrations, the postage is cheaper relatively, so you could buy stuff from your rats from there at the same time

Re: Does anyone here feed..
It's not just the scooping them out that is the problem, I don't like the thought of bugs in my hamsters's food dishes. I don't see why their needed tbh, none of my other hamsters have ever had anything like that, and they were all happy and healthy and lived to a good age.
