Ya know how bad U.S. cages look compared to U.K./European models? The hamster food options are kinda like that... but worse

Re: Does anyone here feed..
Could you buy harry hamster in bulk? We got £15kg a while ago. Cost us under £25 and worked out cheaper than buying the 850g bags locally.

oh wow, I am actually quite surprized at that, as imo the US has the best in everything!! I buy stuff from there regularly and get it shipped in, simply cos I like the stuff better. For example, I refuse to buy dog leashes from the UK as for some reason, they are a standard 40" long, which to me is far, far too short, so I pay extra to import the 6ft ones instead. I would love to live in the US, but don't think I could practically take 2 dogs, 2 rabbits, 4 rats, 3 hamster and 3 gerbils with me very easily!

I think the US has a far far better selection of dog accessories than the UK does. All the leashes/leads in pets @home are all one length unless you get one of those halti-leash things that extends. They are far too short IMO to walk a dog on comfortably. They only seem to come in 2 or 3 widths too, and the collars - really small, average and super massive - with nothing in between. Only place in the UK that have a decent selection is Crufts!!

Dogs are pretty much the #1 pet in the United States as almost everyone seems to have at least one unless they or a loved one is allergic

yeah, I thought as much, was watching a tv show a couple weeks back, and it had these people from the US (Manhattan I think), and they all had these tiny little lapdogs, all dressed up in cute costumes, they even had a doggy wedding with a doggy 'vicar'!
