Default Question for Silver

Dear Silver,

Hope you don't mind but I'd appreciate some guidance.

I'm just about to place an order for some (1kg, should i get more?) of your Syrian mix for our imminent syrian.

Because of the shipping cost I'm keen to bulk up my order. What else would you recommend for a baby syrian from the Rat Rations site? Or should I keep the diet plain with a young hamster?

Should I mix the new mix with their existing mix and switch over gradually the way I do with the rabbits (sorry been a few decades since I last had a hamster!)? With rabbits we use a pelleted science selective food, I see there is one for hamsters, should I mix it with your mix (do hamsters tend to selective feed like rabbits, I remember my hamsters used to avoid certain grains)?

Many thanks for any advice!
