Default opinions on p@h museli do your hams like it?

hi everyone

sorry for another food related thread from me today.

i was given a bag of p@h muesli with my rescue ham.

i've been giving it to her and adding small amounts of silvers mix in with it,i don't know if it's silvers mix's taste so nice (i'm sure they do) she really doesn't seem to like the p@h!

in my opinion ( not to offend anyone) it doesn't seem all that good a quality to me?

i would appreciate your opinions xxx

I personally think its horrible. Its got added sugar, none of the seven hamsters we fed it would eat more than 50% of it... Its really not a food I like or would ever consider reccomending.
Ours had never eaten anything else and they still made it clear they'd rather starve than eat the pellet-bits or alfalfa... And considering that the pellets are quite a big part of the bag it was a lot of food they were refusing to eat.

I personally wouldn't get it if I had other choices. P@H also sell the Burgess one which is better than their own, so if I was in P@H and needed food, I'd get that. my main food of choice at the moment is Silver's mixes on RatRations though.

I threw mine in the dustbin, I don't think the hams were impressed with it either going by the look on their faces when they tried to eat it.

thank you everyone!

i haven't bought the stuff in years and to be honest I'm glad i don't!

it looks like a load of bland rubbish, I'm going to slowly wean her off it. i don't think will take much as she hates it, i also couldn't believe how much they charge for the rubbish when i saw it on there website!

i was also wondering what people thought of wagg?

it isn't one i have tried but from what i've heard it is also a load of rubbish?? x

Yeah, wagg is not great... Am pretty sure its not even properly balanced for a hamster (which is unsurprising when its for hamsters, gerbils and mice who all have different dietary needs).

Awful mix, would never feed it again Darla only ever ate half of it anyway, I ended up getting frustrated and buying Silver's mix because I was fed up of throwing out so much

Both of my hamsters refused to eat the p@h food luckily i didn't actually pay for it came free with a cage i bought and ended throwing it away to. Mine is now on the harry hamster mix which he does it more of but i find there are certain bits he does leave. When i have the money i will be getting silvers syrian mix and dwarf mix as my robo is fussy and he is fed burgess dwarf mix

Ye I think Wagg is pretty grim too. All my hammies an mice are on silvers mixes, they eat every bit of it so I find it really good value.
