Bedding in the playpen is your choice. I don't bother as Fudge isn't really in there for too long. Personal Preference though

I give my hamsers dog biscuits and my rats them and they love them. They standard pet store ones they get is Bonio's, most other store bought ones are organic/hypoallergenic, as I'm fussy about what my dog's eat ( I go around looking at the backs of all products to see what's in them!). Because of this, I actually prefer to make my own dog cookies for them, then I know exactly what's in them. They eat them just as well and better! than some of the bought ones, and the hamsters/rats like them too!

Hi

I only usually give Poppy a Bonio once a week and as a treat and its more often on clean out day. I try to vary her diet she love Blueberries, carrots and occasionally (and please dont laugh) she has a tiny bit of out Sunday Roast which is a tiny piece of chicken (no gravy and cold) and a tiny bit of veg, no potatos - and she loves it.

I did recently read in a Hamster book that it was ok to give Hamster tomatos, I was horrified as I was always lead to believe Tomatos were poisonous to Hamsters, needless to say I have avoided giving Poppy any form of Tomato, I am now wondering who is right the book or the website as to where they advised to avoid them.

Ah, I see. aww you spoil her <3 <3 that's lovely. <3 I know; it's hard to find certified and proven info on hammie food as they always vary from source to source causing us to get worked up and nuts on what's really safe for the furbabies.
