Default Braveheart eats human flesh

My hamster Braveheart has always enjoyed biting my fingertips for some reason. Today I was trying to handle her and I was lazy and just let her have at it so she would realize that I'm not food. Only problem is that she instead sliced off a chunk of my fingertip, ate it, and then came back for seconds. Is this common hamster behavior??

I'm pretty sure she's a hybrid like the others. Maybe she's lacking protein? I put her on the floor and she attacked my toes..

I can't handle a hamster that wants to eat me every time I touch it.

Darla nibbles, but I've only ever had him start chewing once. Braveheart seems like a slightly unusual hammy try giving more mealworms/protein and see if she stops?

My Syrian Poptart did the same. I was poking on her tummy giving her a checkup, and she chomped my finger, bit off a piece, and ate it. Regardless to say I deserved it but wasn't expecting it! She hasn't done it since.

That really freaks me out! I hope you're OK but, yes, maybe try her on some mealworms or something. If she keeps going for you, maybe try wearing gloves until she's more tame? Or is she not new to your family?
