My hamster Braveheart has always enjoyed biting my fingertips for some reason. Today I was trying to handle her and I was lazy and just let her have at it so she would realize that I'm not food. Only problem is that she instead sliced off a chunk of my fingertip, ate it, and then came back for seconds. Is this common hamster behavior??
He he that made me chuckle! That must of really hurt! I find it quite funny, my hams have never bitten me but when my dog was a puppy, she used to have a nibble! But then when i told her no she would give me her paw and smile at me! XD and sadly i fell for it and gave her a biscuit, oh i such an idiot!!!
:/ im not an expert on dwarf's at all Iv only got my first one today and shes a darling ...but i have heard they can be a bit nippy sometimes hopefully someone with more expertise can help you she maybe just has some behavioural issues. Hope you can calm her down and keep all your other fingers intact! x
Darla nibbles, but I've only ever had him start chewing once. Braveheart seems like a slightly unusual hammy try giving more mealworms/protein and see if she stops?
