She is a trooper that's for sure.
She's going by the names Pip, Blue and Chirpa now... We'll settle on something eventually I'm sure
She went to the vet earlier today. She has no fleas, no injuries, no infections and was given a completely clean bill of health. She is a bit on the skinny side though.
Yes, the snails puzzled me too, particularly how clean she was made me suspicious. I would have thought that if she'd been digging through snail shells that she'd at the very least be a bit slimy. I think you may be right about that Souffle, although thinking that opens up a whole bunch of new questions about why there's a snail grave yard in our garage.
We've settled on a diet for her now too. I spent a few hours reading through threads on here in this section. We've bought her a bag of Burgess Supahamster Dwarf Harvest and we're giving her 50% of that and adding 50% of the bird seed that she had been living on outside, and picking out the yellow corn bits too. We're also giving her a few extra meal worms with it.
That should be okay, we're going to put a little less bird seed in each day, or maybe every other day and see how it goes. Then when she's just on the Burgess on its own we can start thinking about what else to supplement it with.
