How often have you changed food?
Was just reading Racinghamsters thread about buying the Tesco Hamster Food (here - Bought a bag of Tesco Hamster Food..) and it got me wondering. How many different mixes/brands/food have you hamsters had?
I started off with a bag of P@H food which I wasn't impressed with. Then started Luna on JR Farm Hamster Feast, well before the P@H stuff was finished and she's been on it ever since, so well over a year now.
This is just a me being nosey thread... Adding a poll too

Re: How often have you changed food?
Cookie & Truffle started with the old P@H food which I didn't like, then they all went on to Harry Hamster and have been on it ever since with the exception of buying a bag of Wilkisons hamster food last month and trying them out on Burgees when I got either Trevor or Fat Face... can't remember which

Re: How often have you changed food?
Darla was on the P@H museli. I bought a bag of Wagg from Wilkos because it had more protein than their own brand, so he's currently on a mixture of the P@H museli and that (I mixed them both together in a plastic tub). However... the Wagg is still not great, so I'm gonna switch him over to Harry Hamster, as I can't justify spending ratrations postages to get Silver's mix on my student budget (especially because student loans told me recently that they're decreasing the amount I get off them for my last term) as HH looks like the next best thing. Maybe when I have a job, I'll rethink the postage costs...

Re: How often have you changed food?
Interesting thread Starlight. I voted three times because Boris my adopted syrian started life on Harry Hamster. I then switched him onto Burgess Supahamster Harvest, which he still likes but I felt he needed something more in terms of whole corn, carob meal biscuits and some different textures, so today I decided to buy a bag of the Tesco Hamster Food. I`m hoping he will like it and I havn`t over-fed him today so that I can tell if he`s eaten much of it by tomorrow. If he tells me he doesn`t think much of it, I will go back to sticking with the Burgess Supahamster Harvest and and go back to the drawing board!

Re: How often have you changed food?
I voted for once as all of my hammies started life on one type of food or another and when they come to me they get changed to Harry Hamster.
I've recently changed Bailey and Pipsqueak to Burgess Dwarf but I don't really like it...

Re: How often have you changed food?
Ha, it seems most of us started off with P@H food and changed to something else
EDIT: Just realised I should have put a "0" onto the poll for those who haven't changed their hams food >.< Oops!

Re: How often have you changed food?
I voted 6 as the times were countless...I've been making my own mix for a while and I've literally adjusted it at least 20x. I'm still thinking of adding some new things, but not removing any, but I've removed and added a lot in the past year, even re-added things. And I'm constantly on the lookout for new stuff to add, and constantly feeding Princess new things, she's slowly becoming a lab animal.
