Any overweight animal is at risk of serious health problems. That is why judges will penalize overweight hamster at hamster shows.

My Cecil is VERY chubby now. I like him that way. He looks like a dumpling and he adores millet. I used millet to fatten up Claudio when he had a sudden decline in weight and it worked a treat. along with some baby food.

Basically everywhere other than the bigger pet shops.
My local P@H sell it loose.

Actually i used to draw a face on the empty egg shell so that when the grass grew it came up like a funny haircut.
I love this idea!!!

Then how come:
A. You dont find chubby ones in the wild? If it doesn't happen there, then it ain't natural.
B. With EVERY other kind of animal it leads to health problems? Cats: diabetes, joint problems, early onset arthritis. Dogs: Same, and I'm sure hams can be arthritic... and extra weight makes it harder to get around. Makes it harder on the heart to pump blood etc. leads to risk of heart attack. Same with Mice. Hamsters are rodents as are mice.. so.. why wouldn't weight affect the animal?

Yea.. weight is common sense, if a person is overweight then of course there are risk factors.

There's a difference between chubby and overweight?

Oscar is chubby, it's the general body shape of a Russian hamster, he's in no way fat or unhealthy!?
