Quick nursing question
How often do 1.5 week old hamsters need to nurse? I put the wheel back on the cage, and momma has been running on it non stop for a few hours. Will she remember to feed the babies? I'm a little worried they might be hungry...

Re: Quick nursing question
You shouldn't have the wheel back in yet, if a baby gets on it and Mum starts running the baby could be killed. Plus, Mum should be focussing on the babies not her wheel.

Re: Quick nursing question
I'd take the wheel back out and not give it back until babies have been removed. Just in case of an accident or if she gets too addicted to running.

Re: Quick nursing question
Mums can get distracted, so its important that she doesn't have the wheel now. At this age she should still be regularly feeding them x

Re: Quick nursing question
Oh this post is pretty old now huh. Yes, I did figure it was better to take the wheel out since she was really distracted. So no worries. XD
