Which treats and why? :)
Hi all.
Just wondering what brand/type of treats you feed your hammies? And what you would recommend.
Apparently millet sprays are very popular if I'm right in saying so?
I suppose not all hamsters like the same treats but it's nice to get an idea of what to try out

Re: Which treats and why? :)
I've tried various things but I've finally found what my girls like best. They both adore Millet, Shrimp Cookies (naturals range), Dandelion Sticks/Carrot and Fennel Sticks (naturals range). Cookie also likes Dairy Drops which again are from the naturals range, you can probably tell I'm a fan . I prefer these over chocolate drops because there's more variation in flavour.
Woodlands Rodent Garnish from P@H is great too though I can't give it to my Chinese. Cookie loves it though, I sprinkle a teaspoon on her food every couple of days and it gives her extra goodies like Coconut and Shrimp.

Haha, the Naturals range does look appealing! May have to try them.
Where do you get them, and how much for? If you don't mind me asking.
Would love to try some of these out on my girls

There's some on equinecaninefeline but they don't do the Shrimp Cookies . I'm fortunate that I have a Pets Corner two minutes from me, they stock pretty much the whole range so it's worth looking if you have one near you.

Cheerios are popular. Millet is ignored by Greyjoy which is a first in my rodents. Cooked cous cous and a little porridge goes down well now and again. They enjoy dog biscuits and my rats go made for PAH vanilla puppy bones.

Sen enjoys the carrot wood rolls from the naturals range. Monkey nuts. Markies. These are all challenging foods. Which Sen loves. She likes shreddies too, and porridge. There's no real reason - they're just tasty.

Roberto likes the dried fruit and nuts sticks from P@H (he's favourites), I also give him mealworms, hazelnuts, carots, letuce, green beans, cucumber, peas, alfalfa sticks, ecc
He doesn't like anything with grass type sort of things....
I will try the porridge, pasta and cous cous

Yoghurt drops, apple drops and mealworms... the 3 favourites amongst my hammies! Also a little piece of lettuce, broccoli or carrot goes down well. Pippy is the only one who likes cheese but she can go through so much of it!
Mine have never really been that fond of chocolate drops or those natural nut and fruit hamster bars though. Not sure why. :L
