Same... I turn away from my mealworm container when I open it and take out a couple, then close it right away! So it's not bad.

I don't really mind the smell tbh ._.; is it possible/preferrable to feed live mealworms though? I'm not sure if a hamster would go for it, or just pouch it first and they can give one heck of a bite... Would hate for a ham to get bitten in the pouch O_O

You can snap the mealworm heads off before giving them to a hamster... It's not for the faint-hearted, and personally, I just go with the freeze-dried kind.

Live mealworms might die off within seven days or so and start to rot also unless you know how to feed/keep them. I would stick with the dried ones personally.
