Default pearl barley?

Heya!!

Been getting the bits together for my special mix of food for mishka,
Is pearl barley safe?
I got a bag for 39p in tesco, so if its not safe its no biggie
So far I have two boxes of trill, a bag of rolled oats. Carrots, brocoli and peas to dry out in the oven.

Thank you for the advice!

Not sure about pearl barley but I have read that carrots and maybe peas have too much sugar for hams at risk of diabetes?

Thank you everyone for your replys!! im glad they can eat it!

Carrots contain too much sugar?
I was going to chop them into miniscule cubes to add a little veg to the mix, not alot tho, just like 1 carrots worth and pea's into 8'ths about 2 tablespoons worth
about 1 big heads worth of brocoli (maybe more if this is the better veg for them, i'll eat the veg i dont use anyway XD)
into two boxes of trill
one or two bags of sugar free selective pellets
500g of rolled oats
500g (maybe less) of pearl barley
100-300g of meal worms dried
maybe some broken up peanuts mixed in, again not alot just some to add to it.

some nice info

brocoli
Nutrition and Calories in Broccoli (Raw)

Water content (grams per 100g) 89.3
Calorie content of Food (kcals per 100g/3.5oz) 34
Protein content (grams per 100g) 2.82

Carrot

pea
Nutrition and Calories in Green Peas (Fresh)

Water content (grams per 100g) 78.86
Calorie content of Food (kcals per 100g/3.5oz) 81
Protein content (grams per 100g) 5.42

Dietary Fiber content (grams per 100g) 5.1

Carrots also help regulate the blood sugar levels (in humans so i presume the same in hammys)

This is not going to be a large part of the diet about 1/3 pellet 1/3 oats and barley 1/3 trill veg and meal worms.

I will be carefull with veg amounts. I am avoiding any suagry treats, no apple or other fruits, no honey stuff from pet shops.
Just want to add some good vitamins and things from the veg, i know it 'should' be all in the pellets, but itl be boring otherwise
