Re: Would Anyone Be Interested?
Silver, how slowly would I need to swap the mix over. I know to mix it and up the quantity of the new food but how slowly?! And does it differ between dwarf and syrians?! They often have fruits, veggies, treats etc so thy have had different bits in their diets. Cheers x

Re: Would Anyone Be Interested?
Hello Jent
I would feed half the mix they are on now with half of my mix for two weeks then go onto just my mix.
It is the same for Syrians & Dwarfs

This is why I have two bowls, one with old mix and one with new Darla's even smaller than Skip

Re: Would Anyone Be Interested?
We tried that but even the mealworms didn't go missing so we think he couldn't get into the only spare bowls we have (or at least the only spare ones I know where they are). Figured it was better mixing the two in the bowl he will eat from than leaving him ignore the new bowl completely.
He's had silvers mix partially for a while though and we know some bits have gone so later we're going to redo his food from scratch with just silvers mix and see what happens

Re: Would Anyone Be Interested?
Well, first impressions from Hudson on the dwarf mix seem to be a paws up.
The only bits left in his dish are a few seeds and the 'biscuit' bits in the P@H mix.
I'll keep mixing for a week or so, but he seems to be picking out the good bits already!
Thanks Silver, it's great for a new owner to be able to get a good and balanced food that he seems to enjoy!

Re: Would Anyone Be Interested?
We're changing all the dwarves over now and while we can't judge with the hybrids unless we start using food bowls, Muffin apparently adores his mix so much he's taking it and ignoring both his normal food and the treats I gave him two days ago. So, your mix is better than ham treats as far as Muffin is concerned lol
Whizz is also showing a clear preference for your food over her normal mix, and Skip is (as usual) still being awkward and not eating enough for us to tell. Just re-confirms that planning to change the dwarves over permanently is the right thing to do

Re: Would Anyone Be Interested?
I wish my hammies could have your mix! Is there any way we could get it to the U.S., or do I have to cross the waters to get it. LOL
