Default Can I feed my hamster uncracked nuts?

Hello!

I wasn't sure wether to post this in health care or food forum, but here goes:
My little hamster, Taco, is not gnawing on the wood and hard toys I've got for her, and I'm afraid she might get overgrown teeth.
She gets hard dog biscuits once a week, but I don't know if that is enough.

Then I thought, what if I give her some uncracked nuts, like walnuts or something that she needs to use her teeth to open - assuming she'd be interested in nuts in the first place.

Is this a good idea, or do you think the nutshell will be too hard for her and damage her teeth?

(She is a 9 month old Syrian hamster and she is in good health.)

Thank you for any replies!

When I first gave Chewy peanuts, I had to crack the shells a little for him to sniff the goodness inside - he wasn't too sharp! But he got the hang of it. I spent lots of time hunting for things like Walnuts in shells, so i could give them a bit of a crack and get him working really hard, but never found any (even the health food stores don't seem to have them ).

Double check the safe lists, as I think some shells are poisonous, but I think it's fine . Safe and Unsafe Food and Plants - Hamster Central WIKI
