How much?

Hi

i have a question about how much to feed my hammy--Joe..
I have the Living world all in one pellet, which says EXTRUSION on the front..the pellets are quite big so i asked one of the staff @ Petland how mcuh i should give him..he said to put three or four in the bowl for him, so thats what ive been doing. Joe stuffs them all in his cheeks at once (little piggy) and then stores them in his sleeping house, once their out of the bowl, i dont know if i should put more in .. i always give him food (ofcorse) the next day , but then i go to clean out his cage once a week and i find about 10 pellets or less (or MORE) pellets in his house, should i start giving him less? or keep doing what im doing? UGHH! its soo confusing

Pleasee, let me know what to do!
P.S. hes not getting fat either...well...too fat, that is

In my pellets it says to give 1 or 2 if that helps.

Oh..well, that seems to make more sense..maybe i should just give him 2 for now on..

The general rule is that if you are finding lots of leftover food then to reduce to amount you are giving. They will always store more than they need

Do keep an eye on his weight though to make sure he is eating.

Oh believe me, hes eating.. during the day i hear this little gringing sound coming from under his sleeping house...alarmed, i picked it up to see if everything was ok, he was sitting there with his mouth full, eating as loud as possible , haha what a cutie.

thanks for helping me out though

i think i will start gining him a tad less, as i dont want him to get TOO big
