Which nuts?
My family has mixed nuts in their shells for Christmas, just wondering which would be good treats for Peaches? I know not to give Almonds, but are hazelnuts or chestnuts ok? I know she likes walnuts because she has a good chew of one on her dangly wooden cage toy...

Re: Which nuts?
No almonds? Thank you... Our lot have some in the mix from my Mum for Christmas apparently. Now you've said it I'll remember, but I had completely forgotten.
I think the hamstercentral wiki has a list of foods, but I still haven't gotten too great at finding it...

Re: Which nuts?
According to a safe list I got off this forum, syrians can have:
Acorn
Brazil nut
Cashew
Chestnut
Hazelnut
Monkey Nut (Peanut)
Pecan
Pistachio
Walnut
I'd be weary of acorn though as they could have anything on them and I know they can poison horses.

Re: Which nuts?
Thanks Demecat, we nearly bought mixed nuts earlier which would've been the four listed in the first post - but then we found that the store had just hidden the walnuts on their own
Its handy to know for future reference though.
