Re: Your Food Mix/Treats
Lawarawr - Is that normal P@H muesli or the premium stuff?
If its the normal stuff you also want all the brown/red and green "kibble" bits taken out - they're alarmingly full of sugar so we've taken the entire lot out of a 3kg bag before starting to use the rest in the same way as we do other foods (we're not using P@H again after this anyway though)
We feed a mix of harry hamster and tesco sunflower and peanut mix with added porridge oats. The syrian just gets that as it is, the robos get added mealworms and some yellow removed because they get it back as treats, and the russians get the same mix as the robos without any yellow at all.
If I can find seed mixes either locally or where we go to buy the majority of the food I will see about adding more seeds though, especially for the dwarves.
Treats - the yellow stuff, millet, dog biscuits, whatever else is in my pile of airtight hamster boxes, and fresh veg occasionally.

Re: Your Food Mix/Treats
I currently just feed my girls Hazel Hamster along with daily fresh foods. I have been wanting to improve their staple diet though and this thread has been most helpful!

No problem, I hope it doesn't take as long as it took us... And I'm sorry to have inflicted the chore on you, but its better done than not done really. When I found out I thanked my lucky stars that none of our hamsters can stand them...

Re: Your Food Mix/Treats
I have 2 chews hanging in the cage, a popcorn one and a fruit one, as well as several nuts... alongside the Harry Hamster!! Just wondering if I should take out one of the chews, so she's not got too many treats at once..?
