Why is my little one eating so much?
Ever sense I got her I have fed her with half a dl of hamster mix a day, changing the left overs to fresh. Every time I measured how much she'd eaten, she had only grazed the top.
During the last few days, she has taken 1/2 of the half dl measure! I have checked her whole cage, she isn't hoarding or hiding it.
How can she eat so much?

That sounds interesting. I do not know what can cause a hamster to suddenly start eating more, but I can totally recommend buying a kitchen (digital) scale to measure your hamster from time to time and track any weight gain/loss. Its really useful since it can be hard to notice... I hope someone gives you more advice!

Re: Why is my little one eating so much?
If she is a growing girl, its quite possibly that shes just naturally eating more now shes growing up.
But i do notice mine eat more on some days more than others, just like us i guess
As long as shes not raidly gaining weight i wouldn't think its anything to worry about x

Re: Why is my little one eating so much?
Cleffa, my syrian, eats a lot and constantly gains weight. She's an energetic little girl, and whenever it's their floortime, she runs a LOT. So I guess she burns what she eats. I second what fluffymunchkins said; all my hamsters are relatively young, and they eat a lot because they're babies. When they grow older they eat less, but that doesn't mean that there's anything wrong with them. ^^
