Cows milk?
Hi all
I read somewhere that hamsters can have porridge as a treat. Would it be ok to give them a little bit of this made with skimmed cows milk or would it need to be made with soya milk or water?

Re: Cows milk?
soya milk is better as some hamsters can react badly to lactose.
But i use half cows milk half water as i don't buy soya milk.

Re: Cows milk?
I'm kinda lucky in a way as I cant have dairy so our family is soya based..lol.. i think a little milk will be ok i guess.. soya milk is cheap at about 89p and keeps for ages in the fridge..
