Sweet poor little baby
I work at a veterinary clinic and a pet store brought over this sweet little winter white who was mutilated by its cagemates when put in with them. We had to remove her right eye and cut off skin on the right side of her nose. She also had a lot of bite marks all over her hind end. Anyways i decided to take her and give her all her meds and some TLC. Don't want to post pics unless you guys want to see because she looks really rugged but wanted to share her updates. I'm hoping it heals well because I'm already in love but we shall see. Have not had to deal with such wounds before with hamsters. Hoping for fast healing. Thanks

Re: Sweet poor little baby
Poor little thing, what a terrible time she's had, I really hope she does heal & recover enough to live a good life.
Fingers crossed for her.

Re: Sweet poor little baby
Good on you for rescuing the little girl, you should take pics of her recovery and post them once she's made comes progress.
That Pet Shop should be ashamed for letting her get into such a state before getting help.
Fingers crossed she recovers, I think she will now she's in your safe and caring hands.

Re: Sweet poor little baby
I am so glad she found you. It sounds awful. I am sure she will make a good recovery with you. She'll still have physical and emotional scars but love heals Why would a pet shop put a hamster in with unrelated hamsters? A very stupid thing to do. I would say at the very least, send them some literature on the matter with the animal welfare act neatly attached!

Re: Sweet poor little baby
Sad news. I had to send her to rainbow bridge yesterday. She was having difficulty breathing and lost weight so i decided it was time. Saddened by this but we tried. RIP champ

Re: Sweet poor little baby
I am so sorry - that is awful. She looks so badly attacked. I suppose it's a warning to anyone thinking of putting hamsters in together.

Poor little girl. It's a toss up really when you are putting them together, and it can go south so quickly, and often without warning.
Lucky girl that she had you looking after her until the end.
