Default Adding hamster pipes?

hey guys!
is hamster pipes bad for hamsters?
if not is it then possible to add it in an alaska cage?
if not still should it then only be in that cage i put my hamster down to when i need to clean cage? (need to buy a cage tho because last time i clean the cage she flipped out and stressed)
Think they looks cool but i wont buy them if its not good for the hamster
because hamster comes first and my oppinion last

I think that one is a matter of opinion to be honest, personally I don't like them, hamsters can decide to nest in them, store food in them or pee in them or all of those at once which can make it hard to keep them clean & healthy, condensation can build up in tubes if they sleep in them which isn't too healthy either.
If you have a nervous or new hamster they can make taming really hard too as the ham may decide to hide in the tube & getting them out is then stressful for both ham & owner!
If your ham isn't happy with you cleaning while in the cage it's easiest to get a playpen or a big bin they can play in while you do it, all hams seem to react differently to cage cleaning, some prefer to stay & watch while others can get a bit stressed out by it.

What did you put in the box? I find if you put a little substrate in & scatter some food around it keeps them busy & takes their minds off getting out, also a small house or cardboard box so they can just hide away if they like might help.

Hamsters don't know whether things need cleaning or not. As for the tubes? By all means go ahead as long as they are rat sized tubes. You can get tubes that hang from the top of the cage! Always remove the tubes if your hamster does some of the things, Cypher, has stated. It would be of great help to put some of the items she had in her cage in the bin while you're cleaning out the cage because that will stop her from freaking out since things are somewhat familiar.

Hi, my hamster always goes mad in a box too even if its got substrate and toys in. She doesn't like her cage being cleaned either so I just do her wee corner when she is asleep and her house every few days when she is playing and doesn't notice. The rest hardly needs doing as she is clean in her habits but I know they can vary in that respect. As for playtime I let her play in large drainage tubes in my room but she doesn't like the small plastic ones that are meant for hamsters

You shouldn't need to clean the cage often, if Poro has a pee corner or uses a litter tray you can just spot clean that area, toys & things really don't need cleaning very often if at all unless they get peed on!
If you use the box or a playpen of some kind for regular out of cage time she will get more used to it (without the added stress of cage cleaning!) so that when you do need to do a clean she should be a bit more comfortable in the box.
