There's something wrong with my hamster

Hi my hamster is called Alfie I've had him for about 6 months and I really need help because I was playing with him last night and everything was normal then earlier I was playing with him and I noticed that he had a white sty thing on his eye I don't actually know what it is and I really need help

Take him to the animal hospital ASAP and they will likely prescribe him eye drops. I have a dwarf about the same age as yours and what I thought was a sty turned out to be an ulcer in her eye, but the sty you're seeing could also be cataracts which is an indicator of some other hammy illnesses.

Does it seem to be bothering him?

It doesn't really seem to be bothering him but he has been acting a little different he has been chewing on his cage which he never did before

It might be worth getting a vets opinion and mentioning the changes in behaviour while there. I've very little experience of eye issues but I do hope its nothing serious. A photograph could help us get a rough guess about the problem if you wanted to take one and see what people say before speaking to a vet

Get Alfie to a hammie savy vet!!

if its on the actual eye then its probably caterax, and if its on the eye lid it can be an infection or something, Either way get him to the vets becuse its just my opinion Hope hes ok xxx
