If you think that's the right thing to do for your hammy then there's no need to feel guilty. I personally feel adoption is a positive thing if you feel you can no longer care for an animal it gives them a second chance at life.

Thanks for that, it really helped. I would totally give her up for adoption but where I live, no one is really into rodents that much. I would give her to my friend but I know she wouldn't be properly cared for, so I figured if the petshop will take her, then she should be well cared for until she gets a good home.
