still if your gonna do a job may as well do it properly! i have a robo who insists in sleeping in the wheel...but rarely takes nesting into it, least your little fella cares enough to make a proper nest!
one of my syrians...chilton...recently turned the tables on the whole issue when i found him running lengths of his cage in an igloo..kept getting stuck when it rolled around to the entrance bit, so he would turn around and go back!
think hamsters need wheel and nest area instructions!

Oh that is so sweet.
Miss Lemon has currently made her bed right in front of her WW so that every time she goes on the wheel she destroys her nest...she comes out and looks stunned to see the nest scattered everywhere!
Bless her, she is certainly no Poirot

Re: wodent wheels are for sleeping in
I've been looking out for a wodent wheel for my syrian after I read that the rotastak wheels are too small - anyone know any stockists in the UK?

Pop over to housing T bone and there is a recent post about where to get a wodent with links. You are new so just a little tip to keep on topic
Very cute beds Bunsey! Ours like to sleep in the sand bath, globe, TV (toys) anywhere but bed

Re: wodent wheels are for sleeping in
I've just got a load for SS for my robos and they have pushed them into a circle and put a nest in the middle, its funny really, I wonder why they do things like that?
T-Bone if you have a rotastak wheel do you have a rotastak cage? a wodent wheel won't fit into that, I've only ever managed to put a 6.5" SS in one before.

I do indeed, its one of those space command ones but i've decided to buy a storage box with the wheel in and link it with some tubes to that
