Bigger is always better when it comes to Hamsters

My Russian Campbells is currently is a ZooZone 1 which is 72cmx46x32 and a good size for him to run about and dig in

I have my robo in a cage about as big as that but im hoping to upgrade to a ZZ1 for him too.

Im not sure what the recommended size of cage is for a dwarf hammy but I think about the size of a ZZ1??

I'm so bummed the UK has better cages and toys. I was looking at amazon UK.

Theres a link about them being for sale in the USA here -U.S. hamster owners: F.O.P. rodent cages can now be purchased in the U.S.!

You could always try Ebay if not perhaps a 20/30 gal tank with meshing on top ot you could go for a bin-cage, there are lots of threads on here about making a home made one, I think theres one as a sticky in the housing forum

I know ECF ship abroad, but it might be costly and they aren't the people who sell my favourite favorite cage.

I wouldn't recomend puting another hamster with him. They will fight.

But if there aren't any levels and two of everything (wheels, house, toys etc)
then yeah in the future if you get two then thats fine.

A winter white from Petsmart will be a hybrid. There are only two pure winter white breeders in the US, and I don't think they supply any large chain stores, only occasional small.

The FOP cage is larger than ZZ1 and is definitely suitable for one or two, I just wouldn't add a hamster after yours has already been living alone. Chances of the two getting along are reduced, and you can well end up with having to get two cages right away.

I would call about the Fop cage instead of emailing - might be faster.
