Prinkles~ (Princess Periwinkle)

As I said in my other thread I just made for Benny.. both of my hamsters have been hiding away for most of the day, usually barricaded in their homes with lots of bedding around them, so I haven't had many pictures. Here are the pictures I took during Periwinkles last cage clean.
BTW, isn't Prinkles such a cute nickname? I can't believe it took me this long to come up with it for her.

Either Periwinkle is tiny, or the dwarfs I see in the store are huge.


New clean cage!


shes mad that i had to clean the cage. she had a really neat tunnel system going from her igloo, out the side of it and under, through the bedding and under the wheel.


the pink is very princess-like. the color grew on me.

Peri is so cute! How much does she weigh? My Lucy, granted a hybridized pet shop WW, was 57-59g until she started losing weight due to her kidney condition. She's been steady at 32-33g for the past 2 months and actually doesn't look at all sickly skinny in person--just not round and chubby like Isabel. She looks kind of like Peri here, actually, on all photos but second to last.

Speaking of Isabel, she's my pretty princess too, and she just got a LOAD of Carefresh Confetti and some pink crinkles! Her next cage cleaning will be a very festive one! Royal hamsters need their fancy bedding

I really wish I could find the colored crinkles here.. I've been to two shops and they just have the brown. Maybe I'll ask them to order some colored.

For Peri's weight, I'll have to weigh her later today. She was around 55 grams the last time I weighed her a few months ago. I don't think Peri is going to be too small/underweight, it's just everytime I go to the Petstore the dwarfs look so BIG like... a big 4 inches and they have a lot of girth. Not pregnant either.. just.. Big!

She looks perfectly fine. They just vary in size like any animal. My Hugo is a whopping 90g! Horace is 55g, Hamlet 66g & Huxley 70g.
