Re: quick winter white question..
By Campbell/WW cruising do you mean they were crossbred? If so, then surely they aren't pure?
Sorry if I've misunderstood but not sure what you mean by cruising.

I've always thought mandarin was a hybrid colouration also? unsure on that though ^.^

Re: quick winter white question..
I agree, if they have any Campbells in them at all then they are not pure bred, even if the campbells are several generations back in their line. At least that's what I've read.

Re: quick winter white question..
Well, they aren't literally pure but technically, they are considered as pure. It sounds strange in French too (lol) but it's how breeders make to have more WW colours.
Mandarin is a dominant mutation that appeared spontaneously around 10 years ago. It wasn't made from hybridation.

Re: quick winter white question..
I'll have to search through the forums, there's a thread somewhere on Mandarin hamsters. It might make it more clear.

Re: quick winter white question..
really pretty "mandarin" hamsters from Holland
Here's a thread. Unfortunately, they are hybrids so it's impossible for them to ever be pure.
