Re: Scottie
That is such a cute picture. It is funny he hops into his wheel when you offer him a taxi.

Re: Scottie
I found that a wheel means so much more to a hamster than exercise. A wheel is also a stress buster so it's always advisable to have a wheel in a playpen.
When he's on the wheel while the taxi is still in his cage but he wants it out, he'll run even faster. Soon as i've removed it, he slows down again.

Re: Scottie
I am noticing that too. Orko does not really use the other things in his cage much. I also find he is less shy if he is in his wheel.

Re: Scottie
I'm glad that Scottie hasn't gone shy after i moved him to the bedroom. He was out and about as per usual this morning.

Re: Scottie
This morning i got the impression that Scottie was trying to tell me something, that something wasn't right.
Or maybe he was toying with the idea of out of cage time and found himself in a "shall i, shan't i" turmoil.
He run towards me when he saw or sensed me, i think his eyesight is pretty poor, run around, scratched and groomed a lot, nibbled on things and came to the front of his HH a few times.
I had to go out to collect hamsters and then take them to a rescue but will get Scottie out later and give him a health check. Will also check his cage. Couldn't see anything obvious amiss but it can be very hard to tell with dwarf hamsters.

Re: Scottie
Scottie is so cute. I hope you do not find anything amiss when you do the health check.
I hope collecting the hamsters goes well.

Re: Scottie
His HH is on a dolley trolley so i'll wheel him in the hamster proofed hall to take the wire top off, in case he jumps. I normally do checks via the big door but i feel that i need to get the little man out. He looks so cute but has a temper so have to mentally prepare myself to get bitten!
