How is little Pip doing? I'm curious what he's been up to since that hidden spoon was discovered last week

Thanks ilguy Interestingly - Pip has seemed a bit more inclined to approach me since then. In fact last night he nearly tried to climb out of the cage. So I think he wants to come out again! Usually he runs away and hides. I need to sort that. The problem is Raffy is so demanding every night! From about 8pm onwards, and hogs the playpen. I can rig up a separate playpen but not sure I can handle them both being out at the same time! Might need to do alternate nights. Although - it's possible to have them both out at the same time in different areas and Raffy seems happy to be left on his own in the playpen a lot (providing the playpen is in his approved room). Pip is harder work to get out as well - although - he might climb into something now. He deserves to be out more.

I have two out free roaming at the same time at some point in the evening by putting the devider up.

You get into a system after a while.
The Robo is fine and happy running around in the hall playground but the four Syrians can be awkward and that includes old boy Rory.

I can bet that each one of them wants to be in the area another one is playing in!

I think if you sort Raffy out first and watch him for a while to see if he's happy, then you could get Pip out as well. I'd set both playpens up beforehand.

Sounds good Ria. I am trying to work out where I have room for two playpens! Could do that most nights but not every night. Raffy does miss the odd night coming sometimes - not very often. And he doesn't need as much attention now. Can't really let him free roam without supervision though. Our rooms aren't very large. I could set another one up in the bedroom maybe .....

Awww, that's great to hear! Sounds like he's finally gotten over the smell of Raffy. Here's hoping you guys have some good quality time together!

Aw Pip is just so cute.

My roborovski Rafferty sometimes comes out to inspect his food bowl when I do the morning rounds in the pet room. I feel great joy when I see his little face.

Love the look of Pip's set up.

Pip had some playpen time today and seemed to really enjoy it. Much more confident than last time. I saw he was out late afternoon and had gone into his plastic pod so it seemed an ideal opportunity to get him out (just put my hand over the end of the tube). His playpen arrived recently but is no good unfortunately - quality has gone downhill. It had quite a few splintery bits (which could be sanded but in awkward places) and it just didn't fit together. The holes seemed smaller than the notches. It might be fixable - or I might need to send it back.

So as luck would have it, something arrived this week in a very large box and the very large box seemed like a good playpen for Pip. Only thing is no idea where I would store it longer term.

I have a video of him but it's not ready yet. He seemed so much more confident than last time and running around and exploring. He is just over a year old now (it was a year and a month ago approx I got him and not quite sure how old he was then but teeny tiny). He has grown and filled out and looking a bit fluffier and more like a proper robo. He was a strange looking little thing at first - very very tiny and a bit sleek and not fluffy.

Anyway he was out for a good half hour, enjoyed the coconut a lot and had a wash in there. Really liked the little hay house and did lots of scratching of the hay inside there. Eventually I heard him in the hay house making a kind of whirring noise so took that as a sign he'd had enough and he walked back into the plastic pod when I put it in so easy to transfer him back to the cage.

I was wondering if it might put him off going down the tube to the plastic pod now I've lifted him out in it - but maybe it will have the opposite effect - he'll go into it when he wants to come out again. Because once back in his cage he kept going back into it and looking around. Maybe he thinks its a tardis or a transporter.

What adorable pictures of Pip! Seeing them made me smile. He really has grown in confidence. It sounds like he enjoyed his time in the box.

It is funny you said he may think the pod is a transporter. Lol!
