Default Do Robos Need Time Out of Cage/Tank?

Have you taken your robos out of their habitats for playtime? Did they like it a little, or a lot--or did they dislike it?

I think all hamsters benefit from out of cage time and taming. Robos can be very difficult to tame so actually getting them out can be tricky or stressful if they aren’t tame. Most people manage to find a way that works without stressing them and then get used to it. I am sure they enjoy it once out - like most other hamsters. The instinct to explore and forage. A secure playpen area can work well.

I think it depends on the robo, my robo doesn't free roam or come out into a playpen, I had it all set up for him, but he freaked out and didn't enjoy it. Just froze, ran around in a panic then hid.
You could try it and see how it goes.

Good point. It maybe depends on the hamster. Our last robo freaked at trying to get him to come out of the cage (that improved as he got older and he would walk into a larger fleece cube and I lifted him out in that). But once in the playpen he enjoyed it. I had a flying saucer in the playpen and he loved that. I enjoyed the experience - he ran up my trouser leg lol. (I was sitting in the playpen). Hamster seemed to as well. I tried a taming box first but he freaked in that (I think because it was a hand from above).
