Flower and Fairy are still so nervous
I would love to get them used to my hand being in with them. Fairy has been up during the day one day out of three recently and did play on her wheel with my hand in her cage. She even ran pased it twice.
Flowers just vanishes into her bed if my hand goes in her cage butnis up and about more than Fairy and will happily go about her business whilst imtalk tomher x
I wish they would come out a bit more when i am around like my syrian does.
Guess I will just have to be patient. They are dazzlingly cute when they do appear i must say.
Its hard being patient isnt it?

I know that it is hard to be patient, but it is rewarding when the taming process works. They are just getting use to you. put food in your hand also and talk to them. Every hamster has a different personality, work it to your advantage.

It's not long since they changed from a tank to a cage and were separated too - just adjustment time needed

Re: Flower and Fairy are still so nervous
Your little ones are Dwarf hammies. They tend to be more cage aggressive than Syrians. Like anything else, there are dwarf hammies that will be happy to walk on hands, even in their cages, trying to make me a liar. But my experience has been that the little guys don't want hands in their house.
When I first got Toffee & Almond, they were like very small grizzly bears! It was so bad that I thought I would never be able to tame them. Then I started using a container to get them, one at a time, in the bathtub. I also used heavy gardening gloves to pick them up in the tub since I kept flinching, waiting for the little monsters to bite me.
Well, since I wasn't anxious anymore when they couldn't bite through the gloves, I relaxed. The wee boys decided they rather liked coming out...especially when they got to go in the playpen!
It takes time and more patience than with my Syrians, but definitely worth it once they are tame. See photos below.

Re: Flower and Fairy are still so nervous
It is very hard being patient I know but I always think the more patience you can muster the greater the rewards & robos do take a little more patience than most
It can take them anything up to a couple of weeks just to get used to a new cage so I agree it probably is a bit early still to expect much, just keep up with the tissue trick & talking to them whenever you're around the cage for now.
If Fairy is more confident already you could just begin to introduce your hand into the cage & see how she goes, if she's happy with that maybe attempt the play/taming bin.
I can't remember if you scatter feed or not but if you do it should encourage Flower to stay out & about for longer periods.

Yes, I appreciate that. I am just LONGING to be able to have some kind of contact with them.
It does help to have it said though. Thanks.

What an amazing story. T and A looked ever so cute. 'Small grizzly bears'!!!
I am lucky that Fairy will tolerate my hand in her cage (she was always the bravest). Even Flower listens when I talk, its just the hand that scares her.

I give them a tiny bowl of food and scatter a few yummies for extra interest. I always give a few sunflower seeds when I put my hand into Fairy's cage.
Should I try to get her to go into a jar or similar and just transport her to the taming box from there?
Flower isnt quite at that stage yet!!! Will carry on with the tissue trick.
Thank you all so much for your responses. It really helps being able to discuss it with like minded people.

Re: Flower and Fairy are still so nervous
I would try scattering more of the food, put a little in the bowl as that's what she's used to now but scatter some, as well as helping to coax her out it will give her more to do too.
A jar or box, mug, anything they are happy to climb into or be scooped into that you can put your hand over to stop them jumping out (just in case!) is the best way to get them to the bin safely & without stressing them.
