Default suitable Robo food?

Hi everyone,

I was wondering what food is suitable for Robos? I feed my 2 dwarf hams Hazel Hamster, but my Robo girls do not seem to like this food at all.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

I would continue to use the Hazel hamster as a base and supplement it by mixing in various small seeds. We add these; Linseed, lentils, bulgar wheat, pearl barley, omega seed mix, chopped nuts, crumbled weetabix, oatmeal and budgie seed.
You can get most of these from Health food stores. They also enjoy a millet spray to nibble on.

Hi there

My Robos stopped eating the Pets @ Home food that was obviously recommened by P@H. I then tried Harry Hamster Food and they didn't think much of that either, so went on the hunt for something else and came across a couple of items on www.zooplus.co.uk for dwarf hamsters. 1 is called Bunny Dwarf Hamster Feast Mix and the other is Vitakraft Menu for Dwarf Hamsters, they liked both but prefer the Vitakraft, I then add things like Linseed, Oatmeal and budgie seed and give them the odd millet spray as well.

I feed my Robos Hazel Hamster and they like it. Did you happen to see what they were being fed in the pet store? At PetSmart I always noticed a combination of mini lab blocks and a seed mix. They might not like it as it's such a change from what they have been eating. Maybe you could contact the store you got them from and find out what they had been eating. Perhaps get some of that, and mix it in with the Hazel Hamster in gradually increasing portions until it's all Harry Hamster. It's kind of the expensive way to go about it, considering you'd be buying new food and not using much, but that's what I would do.

Most Robos really like millet spray, so that's something else you could add to their diet.

Thanks Loyal Tree! Actually, they have grown to like Hazel Hamster. They were being fed lab blocks too. I think they like the variety in HH now. Thanks for your help!
