Pure bred question
I got 2 pure bred robos on Friday and they seem so much different from the ones I've had from P@H. Not just temperment (they are both extremely friendly) but in looks as well. What sort of colouring is desirable from a robo? I've seen all sorts of shades of the normal robo, from very dark to very light (but not light enough to be husky).
Also, what is an ideal size? I have 2 robos from P@H who are 21g, 1 which is 24g and one which is 29g even though they are all fed the same.
My 2 pure bred both seem too young to find all these answers, they are both roughly 9 weeks.
Thanks!x

Re: Pure bred question
Hi Kat,
the Robo standard is still being decided over here, so the correct colour, weight, conformation etc, isnt set in stone yet, so if i was you i would ask the person you got them from for the standard in their country to see how much they conform to it.
I have been told that the British Standard is going to be similar to the Finnish / Swedish standard, which i do have in Englidh somewhere, so i will find it out and post it here soon.
Basically, the darker the better and the bigger the better too.
Hope this helps,
Tammy x

Re: Pure bred question
Ok, i have found the Swedish Robo Standard which a Swedish Breeder translated for me.
but, as i said before, this doesnt mean that the British one is going to be the same, this just the Swedish one
Also, i know there is some disagreement over here about wether the Robos have ticking or not - and this translation suggests that they do think Robos have ticking - again, this might not match the future British Standard.
Hopefully this will give you some idea - and tide you over, as it does me, until the Britsh Standard is agreed upon lol
Hi Tammy, here is my quite poor translation of our Rob standard. Hopefully you'll manage to understand, grammar hasnever been my strongest area. ;D

The line between top and belly colours forms straight and clear. Small, white spots above the eyes, aka"eyebrows", shall be clearly delineated.
