Hehe, he was probably so pleased with his new home he's not risking being taken out of it, and making his feeling very clear!

I don't think it would have been the spinner, only as I have used spinners and wheels for all my fluffs over the years, and even the real oldies have never had a similar issue occur. It could have possibly triggered something that was already there, but more likely something did happen be it an infection or a stroke /siezure, and the spinning is the result. If it were an infection is could still improve, if not, it may well lessen, as Tinks has shown me that even really quite severe spinning can calm over time in cases.

Fred is much the same but managing fine. His spinning has not diminished, but it hasn`t stopped him from being Fred so I`m content that he isn`t ill or not managing his symptoms. He`s as feisty as every though and nabbed my sleeve the other day and has a right go at it! His attacking behaviour became an issue after he was given this bigger cage, but he is who he is and I`m one of those owners who live and let live, because it`s him being his quirky self!

I guess it`s just the luck of the draw eh Poms? Some robos are cuddly little fluffs, while others are that bit more feisty and let us know! Fred will probably be like this now until such a time he ages more and passes, or whether it worsens and I am forced to intervene if it ever stops him from functioning normally. He knows his cage layout well so I will never change that as he still zooms about and navigates things well. I can`t be sure he has great eyesight or hearing, but those are also things that can be affected by age I guess.

he was spinning and racing about like mad when I got up this morning and then stopped to nibble on a piece of corn! His eyes are big and bright and he seems very active, so long may he continue as long as he`s doing what he wants to do. x
