My `Unexpected` new little friend!

Well there I was on Sunday evening, googling something hamster related, when I stumbled across a Gumtree ad for a FREE male robo with cage, nearly two years old but still with plenty of life in him! So being interested, I clicked on the link and saw a little face staring back at me. I will give more information on him once he has arrived, which will be tomorrow (Thursday) as he`s being delivered by the lady who owns him. Long story short, she`s moving house soon and wants to find him a loving home, so how could I resist?

I have posted his image only at this point but will link to the gumtree page once I have him.

Thanks everyone. I realise that Fred is nearing his dotage and is described as `nearly two years old` so I`m being realistic as to how long he will be around, but robos are so full of the joys of life, I`m sure little Fred will be none the wiser of his age!

When I saw the page on Sunday evening on Gumtree, I couldn`t get him out of my head and on the Monday morning, I just had to contact the person listing him to find out if I could have him. Travel arrangements were made and thankfully, I managed to get him before someone else saw the `free with cage` and perhaps looked at the `free cage` rather than the little guy inside it. The tank looks like a pink Ferplast mini Duna from the image, but I won`t be able to say until he arrives tomorrow. I`ve decided to keep him in his own cage over the weekend before making any decisions on moving him into my Gabber Rex or my Kios. That will depend on him really and what he tells me he wants. Due to his age, I`m thinking that he might not enjoy a larger space, but I don`t want to make up my mind about that until later on and see what sort of character he is.
