It's such a shame his owner has to let him go. But it's wonderful that you are able to make sure his senior days are happy and as healthy as he can be. He looks really perky in that photo, so, who knows? He could be a ham who makes it to 3 years old or better . I do know he'll get the best care ever. I love HC folks

Thanks everyone for your well wishes. Fred should be here after 10:00am this morning so I will update later on. Kyrill, my Chinese plans have gone awol for the moment due to seeing little Fred`s plight!

Little update. Fred`s owner got called away this morning by the school to care for a relative`s little girl who was feeling unwell. She was on her way to me when she took the call, so Fred will be arriving tomorrow morning instead. A bit frustrating but these things happen. Will just have to wait it out for another day.
Yes, I felt little Fred was more in need of a home just now rather than me waiting a bit longer for a Chinese hamster. It was one of those de ja vu moments when I seen the gumtree ad! Will update again soon, promise. x
