Re: Robocop
Thought i'd do a update on this little guy, he's been getting used to my hands and doesn't run off as much now and he's happy to eat when i'm in the room, which he didn't do when I first got him
The pics are from a couple of days ago, some are of him asleep in his cage until I woke him up , and the others are when he was in his taming box.

Re: Robocop
Just took a very large step forward in getting him tame, I had him in his taming box and just put a yogurt drop on my hand and put my hand in the box with him, not really expecting him to take it off my hand, but he did.
He sniffed my fingers for a bit, had a little walk around his box, then he sat right in front of my hand, bit into the yogurt drop and took it off my hand and sat right in front of my fingers to eat some of it.

It's ok, I'm just really glad someone so kind as you can look after them for me. So thank you again, looks like everything seems to be going well.

Re: Robocop
I've had a major breakthrough with this little guy, have been putting my hand in his taming box for awhile and he's been climbing on my hand for a couple of weeks now, so I decided to see if he would take a yogurt drop off my hand. And as you can see from the pictures he did couldn't believe it. He sat with his front paws on my hand while he was eating his yogurt drop.
He's still a bit skittish around me, but this is another step forward. He also has stopped trying to jump out of my hands at every opportunity, although if he does he always lands in his box.

Re: Robocop
Those yoghurt drops are on the large side for a robo?! I bought a pack for my Syrian when I had him and only broke off half of one for him. I tasted one and they are quite sweet. If he only gets one a week then it`s probably fine, but if he gets too many in a week, then it might affect his normal diet. He`s a gorgeous little guy!

He only nibbled a little bit of it, he's only on 1 a week, as I don't want to upset his stomach. When he'd had enough I put it back in the bag for next time. Will try other foods to see if he'll eat those off my hands instead, this was just the first time because I know he loves them. Used to put it in his cage, but have started using it for taming. He's also not on very many treats other than this. He seems to prefer broccoli to hamster treats anyway.
He is gorgeous, his fur is so soft. He loves his sand bath, he rolls one way then rolls the other way, it is so cute when I see him doing it.

Re: Robocop
I give the little yog drops to mine as a treat, normally one a week which apart from with Tinker, they all nibble a little then save some for later. Pumpkin seeds are a huge hit with my whole clan and always have been, they're good for hoovering from hands too, so worth trying. Brocolli, meal worms, and pasta are also great tempting treats for shy little fluffs
