when i cleann his cage i put everything in it perfect. but within hours hes buried pretty much everything... his sandbath both his wheels his food bowl everything D:. i have to take sort it out it several times a day but not keen cos i think he has a network of tunnels under his fitch. i have to also move his wheels again so he can actually use them or he will get frustrated. is this a typical robo thing?

Did you ever come home to find your parents had tidied your room and moved all your stuff?? Did it annoy you and you went round putting everything back where you wanted?

yep Syrians are the same. I think things are better set out in a particular way then as soon as my back is turned mine goes round moving everything and making a mess. He's very particular about how he wants everything. I don't even know how he manages to move some of the stuff!

Re: pancakes house keeping....
What about making some sort of platform that you can put things on and then he can't bury them?

Re: pancakes house keeping....
My Raster is the same way, digging the entire tank up to re-establish her tunnels while tossing a mess of substrate into her sand bath just a few moments after a cage clean. And the wheel was sure to be toppled and buried by the first night. So I ended up making a small platform for the wheel and that fixed the problem right up. An added bonus is now she will burrow under the platform and use it as an extra hidey.

Occasionally I'll get up in the morning and Tinks will have had a big party overnight completely trashing and burying everything
