Hello, it's been a while since I've updated, so some pictures of the pompom fluffs from the last couple of weeks and an update on how we are all doing......
Tinker as those that have read him memorial will know, is sadly no longer with us. He was the first of this generation to pass and is greatly missed, such a special little one never to be forgotten.
Paddington and Waffle lived together till Waffle was four months old, and Pads decided he had raised Waffle well enough, and it was time for him to seek out his own territory. Fortunately having seen the signs so many times before this was an easy enough parting, and Waffle is happily living in Tinkers old cage. He's a lovely big friendly boy, very silly still and constantly making me laugh. As he's only young he will have a pup move in with him as soon as possible.
Pads is happy living on his own again, depending on numbers he may raise one of his nephews as he did such a fantastic job with Waffle. It will depend on timing as The age he's at I will be expecting his testosterone to begin to wane from end of June onwards meaning he will likely be more receptive to a long term addition. If not he will be perfectly happy as he is lovely fluff.
Rascal is a very lucky little fluff, in just over a week he will be welcoming a little lady into his life, and we shall hopefully be hearing the pitter patter of tiny pompom feet again. In the meantime he's making sure he looks his best and eating up his greens
I also have two unexpected additions. Rascal, Paddington, and Tinker had three brothers and two sisters in their litter, the girls are doing really well in their home, as is the other brother, the other two boys however have come back to me. Part of breeding is that should things not work out for any reasons, the hamsters come back here, and I am always happy to have them. So Lupes and Flumps live here now, Lupes I have just shortened his name from what it was, and Flumps had a longer name so I decided to name him after his dad Billy who I called Billy flumps.
They are both beautiful boys, they have been eating well and settling in since their return, then have gained healthy weight and are solid and chunky like their dad now.
Flumps is very shy and unsure, but we are making progress and he's settling in well. He looks like a cross between his great uncle Dasher and his grandma Lilly.
Lupes is just a big Pudding, he is the image of his dad both in build and facially. Like his brother Tinker he loves a cuddle, and will do what Tinks did and sit for strokes for ages. He also lays on his back in your hand for ages just snoozing which is adorable. I will get a little vid of him doing it.
So that's us, I will update when my little lady arrives next week!
