It's getting pretty hot here too!! You mentioned some fridge cooled tiles...do you put their sand in the fridge too??

It haven't crossed my mind, but that's a great idea! I will try it out and see if they like it better.

@Kiki: I put some sand in the fridge and gave it to Bumpy, he seems to really like it. But I don't think sand holds coldness very well, it went back to room temperature fairly quickly. Large stones seem to fare a lot better, Minty laid her chest on the cooled stone for a really long time though.

The last two weeks were a bit rough for Bailey and Raster. Raster's been preemptively trying to dominate Bailey, but end up being countered pinned most of the time. Size-wise, they're about the same, but Bailey has a few grams on Raster currently (30g at 9 weeks old) so he's not a pushover like Ollie was (who was 19g when it happened last time).

I've simplified their 110 quart bin while this is going on, but they were bored without toys, so they dug up the whole place and topple their wheels over every single night, then run on it like that and made a huge racket while the wheels banged on the wall. The last few days Bailey had caught on so he's sniffing and grooming Raster regularly now, and Raster seemed to have resigned quickly.

After a clean out, I rearranged their furniture to make space for their new wheel platforms and the Knuff platform (to free up some space for running and digging).

I've posted a lot of pictures of the little ones lately, but I haven't forgotten the other members of my hamily, just lots of photos to sort through still.

Here's what's going on with Bumpy lately, my big lovable goofball, who's currently being bossed around by Minty quite a bit, poor guy. Still loves his food, and still loves to dig awkwardly all over the place.

Bumpy demonstrating that lab blocks are edible, and not torture devices.


But still loves his millet the best. That thing stripped in record time, with all the millet shells piled neatly in his water dish the next day (/cue my puzzled look).


Bumpy also loves tofu.

Then falls asleep on the wheel with no regard to his manly bits.

Bumpy usually sleeps sitting upright, but it was a very warm day and I suppse he wanted to let his bits "get some air". I had to look up Makayla on google, and after seeing all the meme images, I'd say Minty's got that expression down pat pretty well.

On another note, I have some news.

This is Minty on the night of the 24th:


On late night of the 25th I heard small cheeps from her nest and hurriedly evacuated Bumpy to his bachelor's pad.
