They're heeeeeeeere!!!!!!!!
This has been the most tense morning of my life! At 10am Mr Bobtail noticed that Cwtch had made a smaller nest away from the main nest in her pink elephant house and suggested that perhaps she was getting ready to give birth... within 10 minutes she was sat with her back legs in the air attempting to pull a small fleshy pouch out from between them! We kept our distance while watching for any signs of problems but after nearly 2 hours there were no sounds coming from the nest and I began to panic over whether the litter had survived or not. I became very stressed so we left the room for half an hour and when I felt more composed I popped my head into the room to see if mum and babies were ok.
I was greeted by the most precious chirping sound I have ever heard!
It's been an hour since the birth now and mum is happily sitting on the babies who are continuing to chirp. ^_^
We are so proud!
