Oh gosh how they've grown! Poor Tatty looks rather, er tatty after being squished on like that. Where are the girls then, are they in with their mum? I'd be dreading the next bit of having to hand them over if it was me, would just want to keep them all, which is why I don't breed!

I was dreading the next part too but now it's here it's not too bad. I think getting to spend 6-7 weeks with them is enough for me to be comfortable letting them go, plus I've done my best not to get too attached And I get more babies next year too

Well done Erin, you've done a fantastic job there, and it's been lovely catching up on what your little ones have been up to and how they've grown. A random point -- as much as I think the Pomtails need to happen, that'd involve mixing the pied and the white face genes, which is just going to be messy later on I have just realised this and now I am sad

What actually happens when you mix pieds and white faced genes? I've got the knowledge on both separate lines but what would happen by mixing them - Aimed at you Kissa as I know you do a lot of research on all the genetic possibilities

Also I have the hammies pedigrees finished ^_^ all 6 are now official Bobtail hams and have a birth certificate to prove it

I don't know for sure, but I suspect that it would just be a muddy mess of genes. I don't think the genes would interact with each other to give anything new, and both would be expressed, only because the pied gene causes more white areas than the white faced ones, they'd look like pieds but throw white faced and pieds if crossed out to pure agouti. Husky+pied I reckon would just look like pale pieds, like husky is a pale white faced, and throw huskies if crossed out to a husky or husky carrier.

Of course, this is all pure speculation I think it should be tested so we know for sure, but I also don't think it'd produce anything good, and would be detrimental to the type, like when agouti husky carriers often have a slightly paler face.

I kind of want to see red eyed husky/white face/pied Robos, but I don't think the red eyed gene is very established at the moment, so I doubt it would happen any time soon.

I also think we really need to see the pedigrees
