Twirl Taming!
So I have had her for a few months now and she hasn't took a treat from me and just runs and hides. Sooo I thought I would take the plunge and try bath taming. This is how I tamed Wispa and it worked amazingly. I was fully prepared however that Twirl might not like it.
The first time I had been trying to get her into the jar and in the end she went in her strawberry so I put the strawberry in the bath and she came running out not realising she wasn't in her cage. However after that she just played. She knew where her strawberry was but didn't bother about hiding. She was fine with me talking to her too! However not ok with my hand being in there.
Yesterday I cleaned her out and put her in the cleaning out cage. She was running around and trying to climb up the sides when I opened it to talk to her. Put her in the bath and she was very confident! Again not ok with my hands being in there but to be honest, it's nice she is happy playing in there and if she doesn't ever want to be handled at least she can come out and play!

Re: Twirl Taming!
Loooove these pics can you keep documenting your progress? Would be great to hear how it goes. I'm tempted to try again with kiwi.

Re: Twirl Taming!
Jess - Of course! =) I will try to keep it up to date. I am doing the bath taming every other day so I don't stress her out too much as getting her out of her cage if she isn't in her strawberry is hard work!
Definitely try again with Kiwi =) Just do lots of hiding places. Also at first I didn't talk to her, I started to talk to her when she had explored the bath and knew where hiding places was =)

Do you sit in the bath while she's in it? I used to do this with all my robos as it gets them used to your smell.

Lovely, I'm glad Twirl has enjoyed her outing. You could move on to keeping your hand in there while she's in the bath and letting her decide whether to approach you or not during play time.

thanks for the great advice i guess getting him used to the idea of being in the bath in the first place is the first step.

I will when she's ok with my hand being in there and will come over. I think that would totally freak her out at the mo.

Just an update
She plays when in the bath now with toys. She doesn't like if I put my hand in there but will play if I am just talking to her =)
