Re: Kiwi's thread
Oh bless him, he is lovely he will take his time settling in, and I'm sure he will relax soon enough.
You could possibly put a few more things round the cage he can hide under, that way he might feel more comfortable making his way round feeling less exposed as he familiarises with his new surroundings

Re: Kiwi's thread
Kiwi is blushing!
Jodie - id like to try that I think too, if kiwi will ever relax enough to get into a pot to be carried into the bath tub!
Flame - thank you, I was thinking about wee-proofing the wheel. Where can I buy plasikote? my hybrid wonton has ALWAYS wee'd in his silent spinner, i'm forever cleaning it!
Pom - he has a hidden tube that I thought might help him get about, though I think you're right, more hideaways for him to shoot into needed.
He's such a funny little thing already he doesn't seem to be trying to escape the zz anymore and he's more than helped himself to some food! He's actually quite a chunky boy, bigger than I imagined a robo would be?! He's scared to death of me but seems happy enough to now stay out whilst I'm around, but not if I get too close! I'll keep sitting by the cage and will keep talking to him I might try the tissue in bra method too!
Some pics from this morn, he's so round, just like a little kiwi fruit when he first came out last night i actually squealed!

Re: Kiwi's thread
He was out late night and when I woke up
He's just come out now! I'm surprised as I thought he might not come out until the tv was off and we'd gone to bed. I do feel bad that he's positioned where he is. He's in our living room which also attaches to the open kitchen. He's in a nice quiet spot but it can be noisy. There's just no room in our bedroom for him though!
He seems to just be sitting in his wheel. Lol!
Jodie - the wheel was from German zooplus. Was worried itd be too small but he seems ok. Ow he's so lovely!

Re: Kiwi's thread
Aw that's lovely, it sounds like he's starting to realise he's not in as much danger as he thought he was and that it's ok to come out!
