Default Handling a robo

I know you should put your hand in a cage and let a syrian come to you but this isn't really possible with a Robo. Is it okay just to grab a robo when you can?

What I am doing with mine, Frisbee, is to put her in a tube and in the bath. As she was really scared at the start I had to 'cup her' with both hands.
It is possible for a robo to come close and sniff you I have had Frisbee do it a few times! But I don't know whether its common.

i start by clearing all toys out of the cage and just putting your hand in there and making like a starfish. eventually they get curious and run underneath and between fingers. then try putting your hand flat and see if they'll run up and sniff it. Then try scooping them (they jump off but get the idea you won't hurt them). Then just go for the grab an slowly unfold your hands and see if they sit still.
